Not from inside the chat today - it writes the listing content for you to paste in, or to publish through your Shopify connection once that path is live on your account.

Does this cost extra on top of Perplexity?

The MCP server and API key come with every Optimlister plan, including Free. Tool calls price exactly like the site: listings use your monthly listings, photos and video use credits at the same rates, and free tools stay free.

Is this official MCP?

Yes - Optimlister runs a standard MCP (Model Context Protocol) server over HTTP, the same open standard Perplexity uses for all its connectors. One URL, one key, no extension to install.

Why does a Shopify listing need marketplace-style keyword work at all?

Because a standalone Shopify store lives or dies on Google SEO - there is no marketplace-internal search sending it traffic the way Amazon or Etsy do, so the on-page copy has to work as an SEO page as much as a product listing.

Why each version differs: every card is written fresh to the rule printed on it - Amazon now uses a 75-character Item name plus 125-character Item Highlights and benefit bullets, Etsy uses buyer-friendly titles and up to 13 tags, eBay uses item specifics, and Walmart uses structured attributes.
